Will a 3.5mm audio extension cable work for a mic?

Please help me with a 3.5mm extension cable for audio, and a separate one for a mic. I have a Sennheiser 320 PC gaming headset that has two separate lines for audio and mic; I need at least 4 feet (anything longer is fine).

My question is: Will a 3.5mm extension cable that's for audio also work to extend the mic one?

I also read about shielding, gold-plated, length, etc., but I've read that they're negligible benefits for my setup. However, if I do happen to somehow hear interference with the mic, then I should probably get one that's shielded...

Anyway, will this cheap 6.5 feet, 3.5mm audio extension cable work well enough with slim to negligible loss in quality for both the separate audio and mic lines?:

Thanks in advance!
