So I have a pair of Bose speakers plugged into the back of my computer, in the rear panel audio on my motherboard, and my headset has the mic and headphone cords plugged into the correct front panel jacks. Am I able to have both plugged in, but select only 1 to output to? Currently, if I plug the headphones in, the speakers stop, and the audio comes out of the headphones. Please help!

A quicker way is to right click the speaker icon in the bottom right of the task bar. Then choose playback devices, right click and set as default the one you want to use.

I have the same problem, but I don't have two different devices to choose from. I only see: Speakers (Realtek high definition audio). Even though i have speakers out the back and headphones out the front.
