Hello all,
I'm trying to find a gaming laptop for 1000-1500 USD, preferably on the lower end of my budget. A desktop is out of the question. Some games I would like to play are ARMA 3, Rome 2, BeamNG drive, GTA V, BF4.

I was looking at the ASUS ROG GL551JW-DS71 with the GTX960m but on further research i think I want to go with at a GTX970m or 880m or better if possible. I want something that will last years, is my price range too low to get something decent to play the games I mentioned on high settings smoothly?

Thank you all in advance.

The MSI would be my pick, but I might be a little biased, LOL...

As the GTX 970M is the second most powerful single Nvidia mobile GPU, the laptop should be a beast for gaming.

Just don't expect to carry it around all the time.

I have been hearing mostly good things about MSI and a few of my friends have them so im just going to go with it, only 5 left in stock from amazon. Thanks for your input!

You're welcome. I also got mine from Amazon through Computer Upgrade King. I don't think you'll be disappointed. Just keep in mind that it weighs a ton, LOL.
