Here is the situation:

My Lenovo Y500 has developed an issue where it will sit there for about 8-10 minutes after turning it on and not boot into windows. Instead, I get the lovely Blue Screen of Death after this period.

Multiple friends of mine have diagnosed this to most likely be a Hard Drive failure, which is easily fixable.

However, here is the primary issue: I never made a recovery usb (I know, I am a failure at laptop life). Being that Lenovo does have the One-Key recovery option, I can still access the partition with the Windows 8 Install.

Here is my question: If I replace the laptop with a new Hard Drive (A Crucial BX100 500GB in all likelihood), without a USB recovery, how can I get Windows 8 installed onto the new Hard Drive?

The laptop is a Lenovo IdeaPad Y500 (59359554), I7-3630QM, 12GB Memory, Dual Nvidia 650M

Update: I have a possible solution, but I wanna hear opinion's on it as well. I forgot I had the hot-swap bay on the side, that I can order a caddy for on amazon and put a SSD in, therefore I could install the Partition to the SSD, and then be able to swap out the Hard Drive after I made a USB recovery as well. Think this might work?
