intel core 2 duo upgrade

I have an old (2007) Gateway MT6916 and I wanted to upgrade the processor and RAM so I looked at the motherboard capability which is this

So I opened laptop replaced CPU, put everything back and start the computer....everything starts fine, spins, the led is blinking like everything is running fine, the screen shows windows loading.....I hear the sound that the desktop background start to show and dang laptop shuts down!

Before i spend more money on wrong parts, CAN ANYONE PLEASE HELP ME WITH SOME SUGGESTIONS OF WHAT MIGHT BE THE ISSUE HERE?

Is possible the processor FSB is incompatible with motherboard? (even though motherboard should work with 800MHz!)

FYI I have ordered as well Micron 4GB 2X 2GB PC2-6400 DDR2 800Mhz 200pin DDR2 SODIMM Laptop Memory RAM.,,that might not work either if the frequency is not accepted by motherboard.
