Right now I need to buy a new laptop. I don't have lots of money but I have about £600 to spend on one. I think first off it's good if I explain that I don't know a lot about what makes a good laptop. But I've done some research and ended up with two that I'm going to choose from.

I was just hoping to get your guys advice on what one to get.

Just so you know. I'm going to be looking to use the laptop for general day to day aswell as learning web design/development. So I want to use things like photoshop and so on.

Here are the two laptops:

asus:

The Intel has a more powerful processor but the AMD has much better graphics. Lacking exact battery life data I would go with the Satellite if you were planning on light gaming or watching video but the Intel laptop will outperform it on lighter, purely CPU loads.

so you think the asus is a better laptop overall for what I'm using. What confuses me is the processors. Everyone says buy the best processor you can buy extra Ram. But what is a better processor a dual core intel i7 or a quad core amd? Also for things like photoshop is it better to have better graphics? I do feel that overall asus is probably a better computer brand in general also right??
