Best Video Editing Software

Not sure if I came to the right section but I could use some help. I have a MacBook pro and I was wondering what video editing software do you guys use. Im starting to do graphic design and want to get into some video editing as well. I heard that final cut pro is a good option but im not entirely sure. The price is not really an issue since the software usually has a free trial so I can test it out. Thanks for your help.

(*) Jahshaka (free)

Apple Final Cut Pro X is by far one of the most expensive video editing software suites, but I've heard first-hand from professionals that it's their number one go-to.

If you don't mind a subscription based model (monthly fee) then you could try the Adobe Creative Cloud suite or individual programs. I use Premiere Pro CC 2015 and like it but then again I have been using it for years and was glad to see when it became available for the Mac again. Of course, as has already been mentioned, Apple Final Cut Pro X is another choice and is widely used. Part of it depends on how serious you are about video editing.
