Hi Community,

I don't know if any laptops have i7 5th Gen Intel Broadwell processors already, but I wanted to ask the community, and maybe someone can help me. Here is why I am asking:

I want to purchase a new laptop with 16gb ram, fairly light, ability to upgrade to SSD myself, and newest i7 Gen Intel Broadwell processor. In the future, I want to reserve myself the option to upgrade my memory to 32gb RAM, and I'M memory has just brought 2*16gb ram modules to market:

"NEW: 16GB SO-DIMMs (IMM2G64D3LSOD8AG-B15E) are compatible to any notebook/ultrabook based on the new 5th Gen Intel Broadwell processors with CPU codes i3/i5/i7-5xxxU!"

Obviously, I would like to purchase something with a good price value. Can anyone help?

Solution
I don't have any suggestion that are 5th gen that will suit your needs. Any barebone laptop will do as long as it has an i5 m cpu. In my opinion this maybe a bit too weak for your needs and an i7 m cpu maybe needed.

I do heavy data analysis. In more detail, I work with large spatial datasets, machine learning techniques, and sophisticated statistical models. Multi-core processing and ram are of necessity. Also quality trumps price, but obviously as a graduate student I have to save money where I can.
