Wazup Tom's

I have myself a Sony Vaio VPCCW21FX with an old core i5 and a GT 330M, and a Chromebook being held together by duct tape (which i am using right now). I also have my tower witha 4690k and a 780 but we're not talking about that.

I am in need of something mobile that I can use, that will be capable of doing a little gaming. Mostly games like dota 2 and source games. Nothing big.

My Vaio is in need of a fresh install, and maybe a new hard drive.

My first option is to refurb my Vaio, perhaps get this Hybrid Drive (link) and do a fresh install of windows 10

My second option is to get a new laptop. It must be under $500

What do you think I should do?

Thanks guys.

Didn't look all that close to see if you could get 1080. These are at $400, so I would think you can. The option might be 1080 OR an SSD or hybrid.
Don't denigrate that i5; the integrated graphics should be more than capable for light gaming. Generally, I'd say the Asus may be better for gaming, but the Acer better for everything else.

All I did was go to newegg, laptops, and limited them to the $300-400 and $400-500 ranges. Only one new unit seems to be 1080:

There are some refurbs, tho, as well. I do think you're probably pushing it to get 1080, tho, in this range.
