I really don't see a reason for this to happen. Maybe it's some sort of a glitch, or something connected with the caddy's drivers (if it has any). Maybe if you reset/update the BIOS it would show up correctly. You could also try it with another laptop, to see if the same thing happens. Or call either the caddy or the laptop manufacturer's customer support to see if they have anything to say about it. Basically my golden ruler is - "if everything's working fine, don't fix it". On the other hand if you witness any unusual behavior regarding the SSD, it might be because of a faulty caddy, so keep that in mind.
