why wont my acer aspireE1-430 let me open any apps

i tried to go on internet explorer toaday and it keeps throwing me off when i click it and its my mums laptop not mine. Have i broke it? What should i do?

Hi,

Reset Internet Explorer. Press the Windows key + R at the same time then type in "inetcpl.cpl" in the run box when it appears. Once in Internet Options click on the last tab that will say Advanced then look for a button that should say Reset and click on it. Once done with the reset close everything out then try opening Internet Explorer again.
