Well as might of you might say that I can just go in the Manage Devices tab and select it but I can't.

Long story short... My brother broke my old mic (same one) and snaps the plug thing inside the machine, So we got the same mic since I really enjoyed it and honestly! It was working but now it's not >:c

If you didn't get what I meant from that let me explain, Two mics on the same computer but it registered it as the same one in my audio devices, Since theres a part stuck in the front port it detects it there! I have thought of two solutions. Either somehow disable the front mic port, Take the piece out.. (Which I tried countless times from opening pc to just picking it out), and or buy a usb mic.

I really do not want to buy a usb mic or a new one so I really hope you guys can find or think of a way to save me.

Thanks for taking the time to read this, Comment something if you even think you might have a answer! (Everything counts :D).

Forgot the add, I'm on a windows Gateway computer and my sound card is Realtek HD Audio. If you need other information to help solve then ask c:

Solution
generally people remove broken off 3.5mm connectors with a matchstick and superglue. it works most of the time.

you could always disable your front audio completely by pulling out the front audio connector from your motherboard. generally they look like http://www.bcot1.com/IMG_1224b.jpg this would disable both the headphone and microphone jack on the front of your pc.
