My existing HP charger got burnt, i bought a replacement charger which is output DC +ve but i am not sure about the polarity of my existing charger. It doesnt have an ordinary symbol. instead it has a center arrow written sens and skewed + and - .could someone help me out?

Solution
I'm pretty sure laptop polarity is universal with the centre pin being +ve.
You could try it with some confidence but I would not be happy with the reduced voltage of the new charger as it could cause some problems with the laptops voltage regulators and may cause these to run a bit warmer as they are made to work harder.

i purchased 380467-001 . output 18.5v 6.5A 120W
my stock charger was 6777624-002 output 19.5V 6.15A 120W

i am only doubtful about the polarity. i dont wanna fry my laptop if it goes wrong
