Hello guys , i'm trying to upgrade my i3-2350M for a i7-2760QM , my laptop is a ASUS X54H with HM65 chipset , but i need to know if my CPU is or not soldered to the motherboard , anyone can help me ?
Depends on whether your i3 2350M is rPGA988B or BGA1023. Only one way to find out.
If rPGA988B, then you are in luck. My Asus also uses the HM65 chipset and I was able to upgrade my processor from a Pentium B960 to an i7 2670qm - the TDP is higher, but haven't had any problems with it.

So it seems i'm out of luck i installed CPU-Z and it says i have a Socket 1023 FCBGA , i was trying to improve my performance by upgrading my CPU but i guess i can't now.
