I'm thinking about buying the HyperX Cloud 2, how much can people around me hear the sound from the headset?

Hey guys, Currently I got the plantronics gamecom 780 and they're a very "open" headset, people around me will hear music/games/skype pretty loud even when they're on my head.

So for my next headsets, I want headsets which prevents people from the outside to hear what im hearing. From searching around the internet, I found that the Kingston HyperX Cloud 2 are the best headset for sub 100$ headsets, So I just wanted to ask, how good are they at blocking sound from reaching people around me?

Also, im skyping a lot, so will the sound from the headset reach the microphone in the middle of a skype call when im listening to music for example?

Thanks!

"open" cans leak sound in and out, though tend to have larger soundstages. "closed" cans block most of the leakage however normally have smaller soundstages than open.

the hxc2 is closed so should be better than open cans in that regard. while its hard to say if its the best headset for the price, its certainly one of the better choices.

Thanks for the reply. If you have more options for me, I'd love to hear! There's actually a bit of a limitation for me because I live in Israel and the selection of headsets here is relatavly small. Even the hyperX cloud 2 are pretty damn rare.

Doubt anyone will hear much even with the open pads provided. With the default closed ones, no problem. :) Note that the closed pads will isolate quite well and the headset doesn't provide a way to hear what you yourself say into the mike.
