I found the ASUS ROG G751JT-DB73 17.3" G-Sync IPS FHD (1920x1080), matte , (Black), Intel Core i7-4720HQ 2.6GHz (Turbo up to 3.6GHz), 16GB DDR3L (1600MHz), NVIDIA GTX970M 3GB GDDR5, 1TB 7200RPM + 256GB PCIEG2 SSD, DL DVDRW/CD-RW, 802.11AC, Bluetooth 4.0, Windows 8.1 for 1800$ and the Msi gt72 dominator g-1668

Both are excellent choices, in my opinion. Personally, I slightly prefer the MSI, because it is so much easier to access all the internals if you want to clean the fans or repaste the CPU/GPU.

I also like the backlighting of the MSI keyboard better. With the ASUS, your only choice is red.

The ASUS will boot much faster due to the SSD, and also load any games on the SSD faster. But it also costs $300 more.

They are both very well built. I will say that I think that the ASUS is a better looking laptop than the MSI, though.
