Ok, so the only headset I've ever used on my computer was a Kraken 7.1 headset which is a USB headset & it always worked fine. I would keep the master volume around 40, and most everything else around 23. However, the headset band broke a while back and today my buddy gave me his Logitech G230's. I plugged them in and they had EXTREMELY low sound. As in I had the volume set to 100 & it was just barely at normal volume level. So I googled a fix & couldn't find one. Then I went in the "Properties" of the speakers & messed around with the levels & now, not only can I still not hear things well, I only hear like music & sound effects. Voice audio sounds like low squeaks. I tried watching a stream on twitch.tv & couldn't hear the broadcaster but could hear the sound effects of the game & I watched a music video on youtube & couldn't hear the voice just the instruments. Please HELP! :/

Is it plugged in all the way? Have you tested it on your friend's PC?

Yeah as far as I know it is plugged in all the way, I plugged it in the front and back inputs & it worked fine on his computer earlier today. It was actually really loud. Also, I plugged my other headset back in & the volume is good. Device volume is on 45 & chrome volume is on 18 & everything sound normal.

Is the plug split into a microphone and headphone jack or is it USB?

The G230 (New headset) is split into mic & headphone. The Old headset that works fine is a USB headset.

Are you using front ports? Try the ones on the back of your PC from the motherboard.
