The above all stopped working on Samsung laptop after recent Win7 update. Uninstalled update but problems still there.

In device manager have error code next to keyboard and ps/2 keyboard. Have tried to update driver. Same with ps/2 compatible mouse. My wireless mouse works fine. Everything under network adapters title is OK according to device manager.
In Component Services "summary of administrative events" under critical/event ID number 41 appears.
Also laptop fan continually running. Had fan prob 2 months ago together with constant hanging mega slowdown issues. Re installed Win7 but laptop still not as quick as it was when new.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi,

First thing you need is the actual driver for your Keyboard and Touchpad. You need to get the drivers from Samsung's support site. Here's the link: http://www.samsung.com/us/support/downloads. You'll need the model number to get the accurate drivers for your laptop. Once both drivers has been installed reboot your laptop for all the changes to take effect.

For the fan problem you'll need to open the laptop and see if there's any dust preventing the fan to spin freely. Reapply a new thermal paste as well onto the CPU to help in the cooling of your laptop.

Thanks for the detailed reply. Have since replaced Win7 with Ubuntu and the machine has been very stable since. Sorry I've been awhile in responding.
