I am using a USB flash drive to install the windows 10 pro final version. created it using the media creation tool provided by Microsoft, however when I boot using it and I begin the installation I have a problem. Right after clicking the "install" I get an error message. "A media driver your computer needs is missing. This could be a DVD, USB or Hard disk driver...". I was on USB 2.0 port but also tried the USB 3.0 ports but still nothing. What i found on the internet was about windows 7 but even those solutions didn't work . I have a DELL Inspiron N5110. "15R (N5110, Early 2011)". Please

Solution
The first time you install 10 (if using the free upgrade), you need to install it from inside windows. Try running setup.exe.

Don't know what's causing the driver issues, though...

TenForums has tutorials for many topics. You should be able to find the solution there but if you are prepared to do a clean install all you should need to do is delete the existing partitions, do not reformat, and do an install.

Other guides are http://www.eightforums.com/tutorials/15458-uefi-bootable-usb-flash-drive-create-windows.html
and http://codechief.wordpress.com/2013/02/14/how-to-setup-windows-8-in-uefi-bios-in-uefi-mode/.
I am in a similar position since I upgraded from Vista x64 and ended up with no other partitions in Windows 8. That seemed OK for an HTPC but after a year I'm doing a reinstall to see whether I will be keeping Win8 or installing 10.

hey "Someone Somewhere" I'm using Dell 15R N5110 with the last BIOS but when I tried to reserve my Windows 10 upgrade I received the following report " The BIOS isn't supported"
Is like 15R N5110 inbuilt issue!

If I were you, I'd reinstall the original windows version from factory and after there I'd do the upgrade to windows 10. Maybe not the response that you're looking for but when you're in troubles like this, the better solution is a fresh start

This thread got messed up so I'll try another response. If you are using an older USB device that could be the problem. Some brands used to work better than others. That would tend to prevent booting at all and the message could be generically misleading. I was going to do this myself but I used the creation tool install directly instead since the message indicated for another PC. Since this was the Pro version and I had already purchased another Home version I didn't check this out.
Dell modifies some drivers but I would expect the USB to be generic.
I'm be following the approach of pstrusi for the other installation, except a clean install on existing Win7 system and moving the Win 7 elsewhere.

Dell Laptop Freezes Stops after during install...
FIXED - n5110 bios update:

1. On a separate computer, downloaded dell bios update.
Saved this on a USB drive.
2. Also Created a Hirens Boot CD. It was free.
3. On the Dell n5110 Laptop booted with Hiren CD.
Loaded Mini XP from Hirens Boot CD
4. Plugged in USB and updated Dell Bios.
5. Rebooted
6. Installed Windows 10 from DVD.
It all worked fine.
