Hello everyone!

I recently purshased a used SAMSUNG Laptop model NP335E5C from a friend with WIN 8, and I had to downgrade it to WIN 7 so once done, I restarted and I got a black screen I tried clicking on buttons, CTRL + ALT + SUPPR nothing, no button did work, unless I turn the machine off, turn it on and then click on F10 to get to the BIOS in order to get the list of my HDD, CD/DVD DRIVE or get to the BIOS in general... Please, help! I have to do it everytime to get my laptop to work, it doesn't boot automatically!!

Thank you!

Changing the boot device with F10 Boot Device Menu is not a permanent setting - -it's a "one off" setting which doesn't apply any permanent changes to the boot device sequence that's set in the BIOS.

For semi-permanent changes you need to use BIOS Setup, and you must remember to "Save & Exit" after making any changes there.

Assuming you did use BIOS Setup, and you did remember to 'Save & Exit', it sounds like the BIOS is unable to remember the non-default, user configurations. That could mean the CMOS battery has expired so try fitting a new one.

After fitting new battery, you should only need to set the HDD as the first boot device one more time, after that the BIOS should remember that setting for all subsequent boots until you change it again.

I certainly did save my HDD as a priority! The CMOS battery has been changed 1 month ago as my friend told me!
I think it is an install issue!
