Pairing ASUS monitor to AUVIO Bluetooth speaker

I have an ASUS monitor (ASUS VS239H-P) with a 3.5mm headphone jack. I want to use the HDMI in on this monitor with Chromecast to stream video to the monitor. The monitor doesn't have onboard speakers, but I do have an AUVIO PBT4000 bluetooth speaker that I would like to use for audio.

My loose understanding is that I can plug a bluetooth--3.5mm adapter into the headphone jack on the ASUS monitor and use that to pair with the AUVIO bluetooth speaker. Video from the Chromecast, audio to the bluetooth speaker.

My question, though, is that I've read a lot about these types of bluetooth adapters and searched for some buying options, but I want to make sure I'm getting the correct one. Many of the ones I've found on Amazon (like this, for example) advertise their ability to stream video and audio to whatever it's plugged into. What I'm trying to do seems different to me: send the audio that would normally go out the 3.5mm headphone jack from that headphone jack to the bluetooth speaker.

Should I be worried that I might accidentally get a bluetooth adapter that only goes the opposite direction than the one I want (to the monitor, not from the monitor)? Or do all adapter like the one I linked to have that feature and it's just less promoted?

Thanks in advance for the help!
