How do I turn on my toshiba laptop if no lights are flashing and its charging/charger????

The laptop is about 6-7 years old and it worked great but then I was trying to reconnect to my wifi (because we got a new router) and it completely shut off and there are no signs that it's working so how can I turn it out without going to the professionals????

Try removing the battery and unplugging the charger. Leave it like this for a few minutes, then reconnect them. This resets it if it's stuck between off and on.
