I was just curious if this was possible. I have a MbPro with 2 thunderbolt ports. I was wondering if I Could plug my Graphics card into one thunder port on the mac and plug the Monitor into the second thunder port and use the Mac as a pass thru. Then use software to record the pass thru. Kind of like using it as a caputer device.

Sorry I should have put that in my post. What I want to capture is video signal. I was wondering if I could connect my Gaming PC up to my macbook. Have the macbook run OBS and do all that extra encoding since it has a i7 processor. This would eliminate the extra workload off my PC. I know HDMI encrypts the data so I figured I would use Display port or DVI to thunderbolt.

I was hoping there was a way to set it up that way. If not I will be buying a capture card

If the hardware will let it work It being thunderbolt it is possible. It will all come down to software development. Maybe there is a way to write code that would allow for this to happen. I am no programmer but I would try my hand at that =)
