I have a Lenovo G50-70 with Intel HD 4400 graphics card

If i buy these, will my laptop be able to run titles like Mortal Kombat X and Assassin's Creed Unity?

Buying a desktop is not an option.....

Technically, you should be able to play "high end games" with the right desktop GPU. But I am not familiar with how fast the PCI-e interface is in a laptop. Meaning I do not know if it is comparable to a PCI-e x4, x8, x16 interface in a desktop PC.

You will also need to purchase a desktop power supply to power the whatever GPU you want to buy. Most laptops only have one PCI-e slot and it will typically be occupied by the WiFi card unless the soldered into the motherboard. In that case you might a no PCI-e slot or one available PCI-e slot. Obviously if the PCI-e slot is occupied by the WiFi card, then you must remove to use the device.

if you have a good cpu,and use a good external gpu yes it will,but keep in mind that you'll need 8gb of ram for the best experience,6 is also good,and 4 is the bare minimum so expect some lag,(i have played both games with 4gb ram so trust me,it's barely enough)
