When I connect my HP laptop to my Epson projector with an HDMI cable, I get a blue screen with "no signal" message. The computer is set to show duplicate screens.

A
Make sure that the resolution of the 2nd display is set to the native resolution of the projector.
Also try turning on the projector first then booting the laptop. If you have already done it this way try laptop booted first then turn on the projector. Try switching to another input and back.
The HDMI cable does affect this too so try another cable.
