Hello all was wondering if there was any ideas or solutions regarding playing a ps4 game that would normally be splitscreen on the same monitor but have it so each player can game on their own individual side by side monitor?

Maybe a HDMI splitter that would allow top half and bottom half signals to be sent individually to each monitor? Before game starts and before the split screen is active the monitors would display the same on each screen but once the game starts perhaps with a manual flip of a switch on the HDMI splitter would split and send signal to each TV?

I am going to be getting a ps4 to game with my son and am looking into the idea of gaming on individual monitors when playing split screen on the same console.

I cant afford to buy two ps4s unfortunately and ive found this can be done with a 4d tv which I don't have either.

any advice?

No. When you connect a device to a mointor, the monitor reports back the resolution. IF such a device would work, it would report back a resolution of each monitor X 2 to the PS4 which would throw it off.

I'm sure it could be done with some high end video multiplex equipment but its out of the realm of the average consumer.
