looking for Home Theater projector for around $500

Your price range is on the low side but I would suggest an Epson projector. Their refurbished home theater projectors are a good deal if available.

I'm actually looking for a projector myself. What size room are you putting the projector in? I was looking into a mini projector for my apartment since they're around $200-$300 but I'm considering going with something a bit bigger for better qualtiy and I hear LED is the way to go in terms of longevity. I heard you can't go wrong with Epson. Their lower end models are suppose to be good and I've been looking at a couple of them also.
