Just logged in to my Comcast email and found an email that was forwarded to me about E-Cigarettes. The email was forwarded form a Comcast email account, and apparently who forwarded me the email received the email from E-Cigarettes. The email simply said "Please see the attached document", the attachment was a pdf document of an E-Cigarettes ad.

Getting spam is not always an issue(People get junk mail all the time, normally it gets filtered) and it is easy to fake an email address. Most fake emails are designed to look just like the real thing.

If your friends start getting that stuff from YOU, then you have a problem. If that is what you are saying, You should change your password for email as well as any service using a similar one. Also check other places you log-in to make sure the passwords have not been changed or messages sent that way.

Also, NEVER open attachments unless you trust the sender.

No, spam in your email account does not mean you were hacked.

Could be a program that just random sends out emails to all @Comcast.com accounts, could mean that Comcast was hacked and they have a list of their emails, could mean that someone with your email in their contact list got hacked.

As stated earlier, if email is being sent FROM your account to others then you have been hacked.
