Hello,

I am in the market for a new HDTV for a relatively small room, let's say 12x12. So, I am thinking between the 50"-60" range...I think. I don't need 4K, 3D or anything. Just a plain ol' 1080p TV with a great display for gaming (consoles and PC) and movies. My budget is around $1000. I may go up more, but not much.

Can anyone recommend a great TV? Can anyone help me with size to viewing area? I just want to know if 50"-60" is the size range that will fit my room.

Thank you in advance for all help, advice and suggestions!

Solution
Assuming that your eyes will be about 11 feet away from the screen 60-70" will be fine.
Given your budget you will be able to get a better TV if you stay at 60". Stay with 1080p and try to get a set with LEDs behind the screen rather than at the edge.
