Portable.
5. How much battery life do you need?
I guess at that range, pretty much every laptop offers a maximum of 3-4 hours of battery back up...and that's fine.
6. Do you want to play games with your laptop? If so then please list the games that you want to with the settings that you want for these games. (Low,Medium or High)?
Nothing except Fifa 14,15 and the other versions which will be coming out in the near future. Want to be able to run them at low -med settings.
7. What other tasks do you want to do with your laptop? (Photo/Video editing, Etc.)
Nothing much actually. Running college related programming languages and watching GOT.
8. How much storage (Hard Drive capacity) do you need?
1TB hands down.

Standard DVD writer should work fine. Just need one for installing windows that's all.

HP, Asus, Lenovo & Dell.
HP is most preferable as I'm biased. Other than that, I wouldn't mind considering ASUS as I heard their components are brilliant.

4GB ram, 1TB HDD, decent enough battery life.
Having dilemma about whether to buy AMD A8 with 2GB graphics or 4th Gen Core i3 with 2GB Nvidia GT 820M graphics.
