Sennheiser PC 363d worth the money?

So ive ben looking on the internet, for some headsets. Im want a high end headset, but it could be nice with one that was at bit cheaper than pc 363d. so is this headset worth the money, or you got any better suggestions?

at it current price of $229 on amazon, its not terrible. at it normal price of $300 its not worthwhile.

however for the same price you could get a modmic, xonar dg and hd598 which are overall a better setup, albiet separates.

the pc363d is a bass light headset while the hd598 is neutral with a bit more bass response.

for on the cheap you could nab a xonar dg, hd518 and microphone for $100+mic cost and have a great bang for the buck. the 518 has the same drivers as the 598 but due to design has a more bassy sound and slightly less soundstage.

none of the other headsets besides the beyer mmx300 are really going to be as nice as the 363d. if you arent open to headphones just get one of those two if youre not too concerned with bass output.
