I just replaced the hard drive in my acer aspire e5-571 with an SSD. I was planning to install an OS from a USB. However, when I turn the computer on, I just get a picture of a hard drive saying "no bootable device". It also will not let me go to any bios or boot menu. What can be done?

Solution
The "no bootable device" is appropriate since you took out the hard drive. Is the USB device you are using bootable? Have you verified that in another computer?

You could also try a Linux USB device to see if you can get it to boot at all from a USB device.
