How do I get my Samsung home system rear speakers to play fm music along with the two front & middle speakers? The rear speakers only work when playing a DVD movie. I want to hear music from all the speakers when I play the radio & my ipod. I have Samsung home theater system model number ht-j5500w. I just bought this system 2 weeks ago. If I need to upgrade in order to get what I want, please advise.
thank you.

Select a different surround mode. There are usually a few different ones for music and movies so you can get sound out of all the speakers when you play a stereo or mono source.
On your remote there is a button labeled DSP/EQ which will cycle through different modes.
Use the one you like for radio.

Someone more experienced may be able to clarify this, but I would imagine that since your source is in stereo, you'll only get a stereo output. (ie. left and right channels)

For a full surround sound effect, the source needs to receive an input that is able to carry those additional channels to the receiver. Try connecting your iPod through a dock or USB cable instead of the headphone jack. I'd be willing to bet that would fix your problem!
