Subwoofer and Amp

Im wondering if im underpowering my sub. I have a 10" Kicker Comp S 600w MAX RMS, which is ran by a Kicker 250w amp. Am i underpowering the subwoofer?

No ... that sounds about right if the 250W amp is RMS.

Best to underpower speakers and subs.

As a musician with a studio I can tell you I have killed so many speakers / amps / PA's over the years I wish I had underpowered everything.

It gets expensive when you kill the compression drivers in a couple of big PA can's because some idiot overdrove them (me).

Not as expensive as when you kill the PA head though ...
