Xbox One sound occasionally cuts out

Hey everyone,

So I realize I do still have one thing I need to try... Which is changing the HDMI cable from my receiver to my TV... But I figured I'd ask anyway...

My TV's HDMI1 is Xbox One, HDMI 2 is my Receiver, HDMI 3 is my Chromecast.
My receiver has a Cable Box, PS4 and Wii U hooked in, all by HDMI.
The Receiver and TV have that thing (I forget what it's called) where the HDMI signal goes both ways, so that's how my audio from the Xbox and/or the TV's built in smart apps make their way from the TV to the receiver.

Everything works great except the Xbox One. Which works great most of the time, but every so often, for no apparent reason, the audio cuts out every 5-10 seconds for about a 1/2 of a second. When it does this, it does it like, all day. Nothing will fix it. But then sometimes it doesn't do it and all is good.

I've already tried replacing the Xbox One's HDMI Cable, but like I said, I haven't tried changing the HDMI cable from the TV to the receiver. I'm going to do that when I get a chance... Anyone think that could be my problem here?

Thanks.

Well i can think of two possible causes, something is messed up with either the HDMI cord or the xbox's or tv's HDMI port. Or there could be an issue with the sound card in the xbox which would be bad and it will probably only get worse.

if it isn't the HDMI cord and it's an internal or OS problem, call up Microsoft. Best part about console gaming in my opinion, you don't have to sit around for 5 hours troubleshooting the problem, make them deal with it because it should be under warranty.
