I'm looking for a new laptop and I only have $400 to spend. Thus far I have found a few good deals for my money, but was wondering if anyone with more knowledge about computers could help me pick between the laptops I found, OR maybe could suggest another great laptop for $400 (preferably a new laptop, not refurbished).
Thanks for your time and help!

Hello yaboyzen

There is almost no difference between the AMD A10 7400 and Intel Core i5 5200U processors either.

The only major difference between the Asus laptop and the Acer one that seems significant is the HDD and RAM. Asus has 1 TB HDD with 8 GB RAM whereas Acer has 500 GB HDD with 6 GB RAN)

Considering the price difference of around $30 for double HDD space and increased RAM, Asus would be a wise choice. :)

Cheers!! :)
Hello yaboyzen

The description of the Asus laptop does not specify which model of the AMD A10 series processor it has and therefore commenting on it wouldn't be wise. If it has AMD A10 5750M processor, Intel Core i5 still has improved features, at least on papers.

I personally like Acer Aspire laptops more than Lenovo and since both Acer and Lenovo laptops you are looking have almost the same specs, I would have chosen Acer but this is only my individual choice.

If you can confirm the exact model of the processor in the Asus laptop, it would be easier to pick the best one among the shortlisted models.

Good Luck!!! :)
