Hi everyone

I really tried everything I could think of, so now I am asking you guys for help.

Specs
-Vaio VPCF136FM
-Windows 7 Professional 64bit
-i7 Q740 processor
-6GB of RAM
-NVIDIA GeForce 425M 1GB

What is going on
Laptop shuts down when gaming, after about 10 minutes. Haven't tried other heavy processing applications. Temperatures are all (CPU, GPU, MOBO and HDD) under 70C.

What I already did
-Complete board, fan, case cleanup and reapplied thermal paste;
-Fixed a broken screw on the heatsink;
-Added some base to increase air flow under the laptop;
-Updated the video driver;
-Ran Windows memory checker (no problems found);
-Removed one RAM stick (2GB). At first I thought this had solved it, but apparently I was wrong.

More info
This is a ~5 year old laptop. The only repair it underwent was having the original hard drive replaced (now that I'm thinking about it...). For the first 3.5/4 years, I ran Battlefield and other heavy games without any problems even at much higher temperatures. For the last 1/1.5 year, this has been happening. At first I thought it was overheating, but after all those measures and then close monitoring the temperatures I'm now pretty sure that's not the case.

I really have no other idea of what the problem might be. My last guess is that previous high temperatures might have damaged some component.

Really appreciate your help!
