? minute per GB of 1080p video

I have a Canon Rebel T5i (700D for those in UK/EU) and a SanDisk Extreme Pro SDHC Class 10, UHS-3 32 GB memory card. How many minutes of Full HD video (1080p) should I be able to record per gigabyte at various formats (.mov, mp4, H.264 etc)?

Why not just test it. Record 2 min of video in each format of a static outdoor scene. The record 2 min of video in each format while moving the camera around to create a non-static scene. You will be able to calculate it yourself. No need for someone to guess.

That's actually not a bad idea. Thanks! I was just wondering if anyone knew a conversion rate for video... say, 1 1/2 minutes per gigabyte for .mov or 75 second per gigabyte for H.264 and so on.

Continuous Shooting Time
Based on 8GB Memory Card
[1920 x 1080]
30 fps/25 fps/24 fps: 22 min.
[1280 x 720]
60 fps/50 fps: 22 min.
[640 x 480]
30 fps/25 fps: 1 hr. 32 min.

Based on 16GB Memory Card
[1920 x 1080]
30 fps/25 fps/24 fps: 44 min.
[1280 x 720]
60 fps/50 fps: 44 min.
[640 x 480]
30 fps/25 fps: 3 hr. 04 min.
* If recording time reaches 29 min. 59 sec., movie shooting stops automatically.
