I found two good deals but I've been having a tough time trying to decide on which one to get.

New Toshiba Satellite C55-C5240

Refurbished Lenovo Y40

I need a laptop that will be able to easily handle everyday tasks and play a few games (CS:GO, Garry's Mod, hopefully Battlefield 4 & GTA) for $500. Also, I want my laptop to last at least 3 years for college because I'm going to be broke. I don't care if I can't play new games at that time, I just want to play GTA (if I can) and a few games from the past couple of years.
The refurbished laptop is very tempting to buy because it has a graphics card and a somewhat more powerful CPU, but I have a hard time trusting refurbished products, since I've never bought one before and know it's risky.

When you purchase refurbished product make sure you get it from reputable dealer. Newegg should be fine.. Make sure to check the Refurbished warranty from newegg and the manufacture, just incase something goes bad.. usally it will come with 3month to 1 year warranty. Good Luck!

I couldn't find the newegg warranty, but they do have a 30 day return and replacement policy. They also sell a $80 1 year replacement plan, which I might need to get.

If you think that refurbish product will keep you up at night.. I recommend getting it, but i have not had any problems with refurbished products personally.
