If anyone could help me I would really appreciate it as this issue is seriously frustrating me. My father owns an HP laptop. A few years ago his screen went out and he had whatever the issue was replaced, then it happened again, so he replaced it again. Now it seems like he has a virus that causes his screen to not come up when he turns it on, no back light, no nothing. But the computer still runs. If he hooks it up to an external monitor it works. I've ran some scans on it before and it's made it come up but idk. He'll be doing something and then the computer will freeze completely and he'll have to shut it off. But then when he turns it back on the screen is black. Everything works, except the screen. It's as if the computer isn't even on. Can anyone help me?
