I am using a desktop computer, and I just recently reinstalled windows, so I don't have any old drivers. I have tried installing it in safe mode, but that didn't seem to help at all. This is very frustrating, please help me.

Solution
mistake: windows installs old drivers that are good enough to get your system up and running. You need to update the drivers after you do the windows install to get the driver bug fixes. First Pass would be to go to your motherboard vendor web site and update the drivers provided by for your motherboard. Next would be to REBOOT and install your graphics drivers from either AMD or nvidia website THEN REBOOT again and install the windows updates (and reboot again)

I mention the reboots only because of issues when running microsoft updates with vendor updates that can mess up your graphics driver versions.

if you still get a bugcheck after these basic updates put a memory dump file on a server and post a link. Often you will...

sounds like a RAM issue to me. are you using 2 sticks? take them both out and just put one in, press it in firmly. See if you get the blue screen, if you do, try it in a different colour slot. if this dont work, try the other stick. If you can get one stick working then add the other and see what happens. make sure both sticks are in the same colour slot.

Often you will have to get certain updates directly from a Chipset manufacture because the chipset manufacture will not provide microsoft updated drivers that can be installed with windows update.
