Laptop: Dell Inspiron i3531-1200BK 15.6-Inch Laptop (Intel Celeron Processor, 4GB RAM, 500GB Hard Drive) http://

Problem: The laptop (as far as I can tell) makes no noise and nothing happens upon pressing the power button, but when checking it later the touchpad will be hot/very warm. The display remains off, no lights to indicate anything powered on in the keyboard.

Uncertain how this started - Attempted to start the laptop as normal, but realized that the charger was not plugged into the laptop. I plugged it into the laptop and tried to start it to no effect. When unplugging the charger and checking it the next day the touchpad is cool to the touch.

Any help is appreciated.
