Hello,

I recently purchased a laptop from HP. Unfortunately they seemed to have shipped the laptop with the wrong display. I wanted to ask what is the main difference between an SVA and UWVA display? From my research it has to do with viewing angle (I wouldn't be able to see the screen as easy at certain angles on the SVA when compared to the UWVA). How bad would the difference be? Alos, is there anything else major that is different in quality and color? Are these both IPS displays? Your help appreciated, thanks.

I know for a fact that the SVA and UWVA displays are both the same resolution (1920x1080). The links you posted are a bit confusing... because they are the same resolution, but you say they should differ. Here are the display names:

15.6-inch LED FHD SVA Anti-Glare enabled for Webcam (1920x1080)
15.6-inch LED FHD UWVA Anti-Glare enabled for Webcam (1920x1080)

So if the resolution and size of the displays are the same..... then is it only that viewing angle that is different?

UWVA is guaranteed IPS display. Normally touchscreens come with IPS display.

It's simple: SVA - Standard Viewing Angle
UWVA - Ultra Wide Viewing Angle

Say what now? Guaranteed what?
