Hello,

I bought a Logitech h110 Stereo Headset for chatting and things, but the microphone attached to the headset isn't working properly at all. I can hear my laptop's sounds from the headphones perfectly fine, and my internal mic works fine as well. I need to use the headset's attached mic, though, as people complain about hearing neighbors and things when using my internal mic (even with the boost and level at their lowest) which is why I bought the headset.

I Googled around for about two hours and found no solution. Just about every answer that I found pointed to setting the device as a default or simply enabling it, but my problem is that I can't do either. I'll attach images if it's possible.

The options are all greyed out and I can't select anything at all, no matter what I try. Here are the things I've tried to fix the issue:

-Updating drivers (all up to date)
-Reinstalling drivers (done twice)
-Bought USB headset (did not work, prefer jacks)
-Disabling Internal Mic (it re-enables itself automatically no matter what I do)
-Ran antivirus and malware scans using AVG (free) and Malwarebytes (free); no infections
-Defragmentation
-System Recovery to an earlier point (there are no recovery points to a time when a headset did work)
-Restarting my machine

If the images do not work I will edit this post (if possible) to give that information.

Yes. I also tested it on three other machines, and the headset works properly. One was a laptop running Vista SP1, the other two were Windows 7 laptops with SP1 (one of the Windows 7 laptops was an HP like my laptop).
