We have Quasar Tv and it has been working fine with the cable but my son has done something and now even though we have it on HDMI 1 the tv says no signal. So I thought maybe he has changed the TV channel, when I try to do that it says no channel found do a channel search. When I do to settings it skips over the channel menu. I need help PLEASE

Rather vague, these things are best handled in person.
Check to see if your cable box is connected to the TV, he may have used the HDMI cable to connect his device.
Make sure you're using the correct remote control/remote setting to handle the cable box, not the TV.
If all else fails, get your son to fix it, if he's older than 10 he will probably have better luck navigating the menu and connections than you (Besides, if it was something he did he should take responsibility and set things back the way they were before he used them, if it ends up being your fault it's just a son doing his duty to help his parents with newfangled electrogizmos).

If your cable box was connected to HDMI 1 there is no point in channel scanning as this is for the built in over the air tuner. Make sure that the HDMI cable is connected to the HDMI 1 input.
