I have it plugged in to hdmi and a digital audio. Am i doing something wrong ? please help

you still did not list the SOURCE of the content you're having trouble getting audio from. are you referring to sound from the tv's smart apps or tuner (i am assuming yes here).

i do not see any mention of an hdmi-out on your tv, i will assume that they are all input. there is a digital output though. there are only 2 ways to get sound output in 5.1- either use hdmi arc (better quality sound and the suggested method) or digital optical. you would only be using one of these to broadcast, not both. since you'd have a hdmi cable from the receiver anyways it saves you needing a second cable using arc and a little bit of money for that cable as well.

since your receiver and tv are both hdmi(arc) capable this would be the suggested method...
you need to list what the source of the audio is... a device hooked up to the receiver, or the tv?

most tvs do not have hdmi out, which would mean if the tv is the source you'd need arc support on both tvs (do both support this?) if you wanted output from the tv via hdmi.

explain your setup a bit better.

Never mind sorry i misunderstood you at first its all working now thank you so much but i have another question, the way to connect a sub on my receiver is only through a black rca cable and on the sub i only got a copper cable to connect any way i can get it to work ?

since it is not powered you will need an amplifier as sora listed.

while possible to "daisy chain" them with your front speakers (note: this might sound strange or put undue strain on your receiver) i'd suggest using the rca subwoofer pre-out and running that to an amplifier. for this purpose you could even just use a mono amp.

you bought the reciever new??

if so you should have the manual & the calibration mic that came with it.

you need to set it up using the mcacc setup - chapter 3 in manual.

ideally you want to be looking at a powered sub in all honesty - that is a fairly close to high-end reciever & youre not getting the best from it.
what speaker set are you actually using on it??
