Hello everybody,

So i have this issue on my laptop that I have for about a year now. It is keeps shutting down after a few minutes of gaming and sometimes even surfing. No warning screen, just a total shutdown of the system. Afterwards, I often cannot restart it right after the shutdown, but you can hear that it "tries" to start up (just a soft sound, not longer than half a second). After having waited a few seconds it sometimes says that the battery charging has been temporarily disabled, this, however, does not always show.

What I have done already:

- Check the temperatures: while gaming, it doesnt go over 65-70 degrees celsius. The fans are cleaned, the thermal paste is fine.

- Anti-virusscan: no problems dicovered.

- BIOS and drivers are up-to-date, and a pre-boot scan showed the system (CPU, GPU,...) was fine.

- I dont know if its the power supply (GA240PE1-00), but the pre-boot scan said it worked. I might add that error Kernel-Power (41) gets listed in the log after a shutdown

*Maybe the mobo can't supply enough power to the GPU?

I really dont know what to de else to solve this problem, and other forums dont offer an answer...

Have you tryed removing the battery and use it on power cord to see if it shuts down again?
Since you dont get that only in games id say its power issue and its either the battery or your charger

well i have done the following now: i went to the power management menu and put the minimum processor status on 100 percent (it stood on 5%). I have played Skyrim on ultra settings and havent had any problems with shutdowns for the past few hours. If the problem may reoccur, i will keep this up-to-date.

I recommend you make a stress test to see if its your cpu or gpu overheating and use a software to test your hdd health status
the 5% minimum status is normal... atleast from what i saw on my laptops, minimum is always set to 5% and maximum 100%
