Blu-ray Software Free or Money?

Solution
If going to buy the software. i suggest buying directly from Cyberlink Website. This way you will get the latest version, as well as any updates.

No reason to buy a 3 year old piece of software when a newer version is just $20-30 USD more, supports more features, and offers a better experience.

No, it will not come with software.

Money Money Money! They all cost money.

I use Cyberlink PowerDVD 14. (http://www.cyberlink.com/products/powerdvd-family/introduction_en_US.html)

There are many other options out there though.

The links shows Cyberlink Power2Go software is included with this drive. Power2Go includes a media player.

It comes with Power2Go 8. May have a DVD media player (didn't bother trying a dvd before i bought software), but will not play Blu-ray.

Yes, Yes it does. Don't know where you are getting your information from. The "standard" version may not. But the PRO and ULTRA versions do.

Is this a one time buy like Windows is? Or is it like antivirus, 12 months?

I'm going to save up to buy the software and blu-ray drive, the cheaper option was to buy a blu-ray player for a tv and connect to my pc monitor. But problems follow with that choice, gonna save up. Ty :)
