I have a Toshiba L850, which was infected with pesky software viruses. After deleting a few of them, I restarted the computer. From there, it no longer showed any display. When it booted I could hear the windows start theme. Tried to hooked it up to an external monitor but no display there either. After a while I did the usual tricks, took the battery out, held the power button down to get rid of any static, etc. eventually took the cmos battery out for 30 mins. Put it back in but nothing. Now the computer turns on, I can hear the fan but nothing else. So now it just sits and does nothing. Any other tricks?? TIA.

Is the screen turning on but showing blank/black, or is it off as in there's no power reaching it?

Have you tried to reach the bios? Try spamming F2 as soon as you start the unit
