Hello, thanks for stopping by.

This is my first time building a PC purely for video editing. 'senseijtitus' recommend me the following parts (http://www.tomsguide.com/answers/id-2663272/amd-6600k-intel-2350m-video-editing.html) . However, I am not sure if they are compatible with each other (e.g graphic card doesn't fit on motherboard etc.)

Here are the parts:

CPU: FX 6300.

MOTHERBOARD: Gigabyte GA 78 LMT USB 3.

GRAPHICS CARD: Asus GTX 750Ti 2GB DDR5.
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Nvidia-GeForce-Graphics-GDDR5-PCI-Express/dp/B00ICUGOP0/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1432978794&sr=8-1&keywords=MSI+GeForce+GTX+760+1GB+Video+Card

RAM: Hyper X Fury 1x 8GB.

HDD: WD 1TB 3.5 inch Internal Hard Drive - Caviar Blue
http://www.amazon.co.uk/1TB-inch-Internal-Hard-Drive/dp/B0088PUEPK/ref=pd_sim_147_4?ie=UTF8&refRID=0SQKB70J5JYJRWTS5JY9

CASE: CiT Goblin Mesh Gaming Case

PSU: EVGA 600W Bronze PC Power Supply

Please let me know if there is any problems/issues. Also, if you have a better suggestion of what parts/full PC i should buy that is excellent for video editing - please let me know (also please make sure that it is under £400 - British Pound [Including Shipping Costs] ).

As well as this, can you please give advice on assembling the parts together. I am going to try and build this by following a YouTube tutorial.

I am looking forward to your responses.
Thank you.

As I was saying, in video editing the CPU will bear the computing burden, so at 100% usage for prolonged periods of time the CPU and motherboard temperature will rise and cause thermal throttling (the stock AMD cooler can be used if the ambient temperature is fairly low, under 20C, and the enclosure allows very good airflow, which is not the case). If you don't want to go for a decent motherboard, at least go for the CPU cooler to minimize the influence of the temperature...

Hello,

Wanting a video editing rig, you'll need a good motherboard based on 970/990 chipset (your CPU will spend much of its computing time at 100% throttle) and a decent CPU cooler. My recommendations:

- motherboard: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Gigabyte-970A-UD3P-Motherboard-Gigabit-Ethernet/dp/B00F5R9O46/ref=sr_1_1?s=computers&ie=UTF8&qid=1433005407&sr=1-1&keywords=GA-970A-UD3P ;

- cooler: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Thermalright-True-Spirit-Power-Cooler/dp/B00GIO7BSG/ref=sr_1_1?s=computers&ie=UTF8&qid=1433005452&sr=1-1&keywords=thermalright+120 (I would recommend CM Hyper 212, but the case is not big and it may not fit).

You may also consider a dual-channel RAM kit (anything over DDR3-1600 will bring no real benefits).

An FX-8320/8350 will be even better, but that depends on your budget.

Hello,

Thanks for the reply.

Is the motherboard that I listed not possible to use, and is that cooler necessary, because the CPU comes with a heat sink. This is because I am already over budget :(

Also, do you know if I can add any kind RAM from other PC into the one I'm building?

You don't need a GTX750Ti, unless your editing software of choice has CUDA support or you also want to game a little; be aware that the best image quality is still obtained by pure software rendering (CPU only).

Another option is to use Intel's QuickSync technology, which is very fast (the integrated HD4600 from an i5 is equally fast to a GTX970 when rendering) and the resulting quality is closest to pure CPU rendering (CUDA and Quick Stream still lags in image quality). Also, with an i5-4460 you will not need an additional GPU and you'll have a faster system than with FX-6300.

If your old PC has DDR3 memory, you can use in your new system; some early DDR3 models may need a voltage bump, as they used 1,65 Volts compared with the standard 1,5 Volts.

Okay, Thanks for the help.
Which one would you recommend?

or

I would recommend both: the (CPU + motherboard + RAM) bundle AND the TX3; you will mount the TX3 with the fan blowing towards the back of the case.

Could you please explain where I would mount the TX3 at the back?
(Sorry if I'm frustrating you, as I said before I am very new to building a PC.)

Also, could I get away with only having the

CPU:
http://www.amazon.co.uk/AMD-FX6300-4-1GHz-Socket-Retail/dp/B009O7YORK/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1432979202&sr=8-1&keywords=FX+6300

and the TX3 only:
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Cooler-Master-Hyper-TX3-Tower/dp/B005HIRDUA/ref=sr_1_2?s=computers&ie=UTF8&qid=1433021154&sr=1-2&keywords=cpu+cooler

Also, can you please try make some modifications to my parts, so its the best PC for video-editing (3d-modelling with CUDA etc.) and please ensure that it is around £400 (GBP - British Pound)

Thanks for your help.

The airflow generated by the TX3 must be directed towards the back of the case: http://i.imgur.com/ChlSipw.jpg
I wanted to point out the proper orientation because TX3 can also be mounted in horizontal position, which for your system will have no benefits.

Your original selection is as good as it gets considering your budget. I would go for this RAM kit instead:

Do I have to take out the current CPU fan on this:
http://www.amazon.co.uk/FX-6300-Core-3-5GHz-TURBO-4-1GHZ/dp/B00DUV6B2C/ref=sr_1_1?s=computers&ie=UTF8&qid=1433020997&sr=1-1&keywords=amd+fx+6300+cooler

and replace it with the TX3 fan?

Also, is this better than the TX3 fan?

Actually you will need to take out the heatsink also: dismantle the stock AMD heatsink+fan from the motherboard, clean the CPU cap (heatspreader; use an alcohol-based wet wipe), apply some thermal compound (the new cooler will be shipped with a syringe containing the needed compound), not too much though (use the pea-sized method, check youtube for TIM Application), mount the fan onto the heatsink (check the mounting instructions from the TX3 manual) and mout the new heatsink+fan onto the motherboard (check the mounting instructions, be sure you'll mount it in the configuration pictured above).

Hyper 103 is a fairly new addition in CoolerMaster portfolio and is on par with Hyper TX3 as the performance goes (and got the looks too), but TX3 can accomodate a second fan to further decrease the CPU temperature.
